Continued......  My Child...........I cannot loose you After few days stay in  ICU, the boy was  fortunate enough, he recovered.  Father of the Child somehow managed to pay the hospital bill. The sister in-charge thanked God his recovery. Her prayers were answered.  But all are not fortunate. Few days ago a teenaged girl, aged around 16 years could not return home... She had asked money from her elder brother who was a rickshaw puller, to buy a mobile hand set, when he showed his inability to pay, she committed suicide consuming pesticide, the family members rushed her to the hospital , she was shifted to ICU for emergency management. Doctors tried their best but after battling for  3-4 hours  the Gods wearing white apron declared her dead. As parent of a teenaged girl few questions arises in my mind:- (i) Are we parenting our children properly..... (ii) Are we pampering our child ..... (iii) Are single child more fragile than born and brought ...

बाबा मैं तेरी लाडो... पिता, बाबा, डैड जाने कितने नाम आपके,  जीवन की हर डगर पर नाम आपके,मांँ की आन,  तो हम शान आपके,मांँ की आंचल  छांँव देती,  आप, वटवृक्ष की तरह शीतलता बरसाते,बाबा मैं तेरी लाडो... पिता, बाबा, डैड जाने कितने नाम आपके,  जीवन की हर डगर पर नाम आपके,मांँ की आन,  तो हम शान आपके,मांँ की आंचल  छांँव देती,  आप, वटवृक्ष की तरह शीतलता बरसाते,   याद है मुझे वे दिन, शरारत करने पर  जब माँ डाटती,आप पुचकार कर सहज कर देते , हमारी फरमाइशों पर कभी घोड़ा बनते,  कभी गुल्ली डंडे संग खुद को आजमाते,  जीवन के उतार-चढ़ाव पर कोई शिकवा नहीं,  जीवन की हर कठिनाई में हंस हंसकर जीना सिखाया ,  सादगी, आत्मविश्वास, आशावाद का गहना पहनाया, आपके आंगन में जन्मी, खेली, पली, सात फेरे ले,  किसी की लाज हो गई ,अब भी आप हमारे शान हो,  अब भी आप हमारे स्वाभिमान हो। पिता दिवस पर सभी को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएंं  

As I was driving towards the hospital, I saw Police men stopping people who just wanted to be outdoors during the lock down period....... by giving  mere excuses. Even I had covered my head with cap,wore mask, had put the identity card.  A sticker was also pasted on the front glass of the car as "On hospital Duty" so that I would not be stopped by the Police men and safely pass the  Police check Points. Day by day the  numbers of corona patients are increasing and the fear is gripping each and every individual.  I was also thinking about the people who are off  the job  from last one-two months and did not get a single penny. Small businessmen  are shattered. After reaching office I did team briefing  and as usual went for the round in the patient care areas. As I reached third floor a nurse informed that the nursing in-charge had received a phone call  from her home, was upset & crying. I hurried towards her cabin, on ...

I still remember a lady pleading with folded hands to save her child, in front of ICU. I just passed the corridor and went to the office block. I could not concentrate on my activities. I went to the attendant who was the elder son of the lady  sitting in the ICU waiting area and inquired. I could not believe the incident, he narrated. They were four brothers,  he was the eldest and the one battling for life in ICU was the youngest aged around 19 years. He informed that  due to lock down for the pandemic their business had shattered. They were somehow managing day to day expenses. The college fees of the youngest brother was due, though the family was trying hard to arrange but unable to, he was depressed,  his mother had assured that she would try her best to collect the money if she is unable to, then she would enroll his name in distance learning classes... though he agreed but it was disturbing to him as his friends had already enrolled in the colleges.
