8th day in MMCH


Today is the 8th day.. yesterday they took my swab......on query they informed that the reports will made available with in  3-4 days...

Got up late today.... even other patients were  on bed... slowly the day activity started..

Breakfast was served ...I found the paratha was not cooked properly hence I had the other items i.e motor, egg, biscuits, juice and the tea....

I had chawanprash.. ...also...inhaled menthol..
I wanted to get rid of the cough ..there was little improvement..

I decided to increase the frequency...did gurgle because on the core of my heart I was little worried as I was not getting relief of cough....but the doctor assured me not to worry because it was allergic cough...


Today patient  adjacent to my bed got released, she had revealed that her son was born in our hospital hence we became very close to  each other...she got released but her daughter didn't clear the test.. ..she enquired the nurses about the Main's report...but they said may be her result is positive ... Main's mother had no option and hence left for home with heavy heart  .... Maina was a confident girl and she could manage herself.....

Another patient from Bongaigaon who got released revealed that she was in this hospital from last 12 days....the baby was of 5 days when she got admitted..she informed that the doctor who had delivered the baby was tested Covid positive and hence along with the baby had to be shifted to this quarantine centre.....how painful..


Though two patients left but aound three patients got admitted...small children with their mothers ... it's really painful to see but the management was kind enough to provide maggie and chocolates 😋... children enjoyed it.

On 22.10.2022 rangoli competition was organised in our hospital. on the occasion of upcoming Deepawali. The festival of lights. Our HR team takes all initiatives to ensure that our staff enjoys the festival while serving the patients. The competition was organised in the conference hall so that there was no space constraint. Colour was provided by the HR team....

Photo courtesy: Niharika Singh                                                                   I along with my team member went to ICU to meet the patient Arun Jain (Patient’s name has been changed to maintain the confidentiality).   He was surrounded by  nurses; they  were busy with his medications. Though his eyes were  looking towards  us but there was no response. It was learnt that he was aware about his critical situation long before. He didn't talk with us as he did yesterday. He looked very fragile;  the nursing team shifted  him from  oral to nasal feeding. He was in pain. the on-duty doctor also attended him. He had refused to have food.
