Two Pandemics:- Coronavirus and Hunger virus

 Friends,

As we recall, from March 24, 2020 our life has taken a big turn. Few new words has been added to our vocabulary "LOCKDOWN 1"  "LOCKDOWN 2"  "LOCKDOWN 3"  "LOCKDOWN 4"  UNLOCKING LOCKDOWN 1, UNLOCKING LOCKDOWN 2,UNLOCKING LOCKDOWN 3, UNLOCKING LOCKDOWN 4.

Everyday in the evening we wait for the Statistics...

X nos. of patient got infected with coronavirus, 

Y nos. of patient got recovered

Z nos. of patient succumbed to coronavirus.


Roads and bye lanes are found thinly populated,

Offices operating with 30-40% staff, 

Many youngsters have lost their jobs, few are receiving only half of their total salary,

Schools , colleges are closed, it has been replaced by the online classes

No longer "Atithi Devo Bhava"

Children and elderly have confined themselves to in-doors.

No parties, No outings.....every body enjoying home cooked foods,

Every nook and corner you can often listen people discussing, as well as giving expert opinion on corona virus

Often people are found selling vegetables, fruits keeping aside their merits and jobprofile,

somehow the family needs to survive...

It is rightly said:-

Two main pandemics at the moment we are fighting ........
1. Coronavirus
2. Hungervirus

Two main group of people at the moment fighting the pandemic.....

1.The Rich and 
2. The Poor

The global irony and the outlook...

The rich is afraid of the virus.
The poor is afraid of the hunger.

The rich wants the poor to stay home to avoid the spread,
 but hunger won't allow the poor to stay home.
The poor fears that if they stay home, the hunger virus will kill them.
The rich fears that if they come out of their homes the coronavirus will kill them...

What a precarious situation we have....

Opinion

The rich should assist the poor with food, so that they can stay at home,
When the rich succeeds in keeping the poor at home by providing enough food.
The spread of the corona virus which the rich fears the most will be chased out.

This is the solution....Yet because some people have the microphones, 
all you hear is ..."Stay at Home"...."Stay at Home"....

How can they stay at home when Hunger virus is at Home.

                                  Lets help the Poor🙏🙏🙏

                                                                                       Rangoli...an art Rangoli is an art form that originates from in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor or a table top using materials such as powdered lime stone, red ochre, dry rice flour, coloured sand, quartz powder, flower petals, and coloured rocks . On 22.10.2022 rangoli competition was organised in our hospital. on the occasion of upcoming Deepawali. The festival of lights. Our HR team takes all initiatives to ensure that our staff enjoys the festival while serving the patients. The competition was organised in the conference hall so that there was no space constraint. Colour was provided by the HR team....

Photo courtesy: Niharika Singh                                                                   I along with my team member went to ICU to meet the patient Arun Jain (Patient’s name has been changed to maintain the confidentiality).   He was surrounded by  nurses; they  were busy with his medications. Though his eyes were  looking towards  us but there was no response. It was learnt that he was aware about his critical situation long before. He didn't talk with us as he did yesterday. He looked very fragile;  the nursing team shifted  him from  oral to nasal feeding. He was in pain. the on-duty doctor also attended him. He had refused to have food.
