The pandemic has given a big blow to the health of people. Many post covid patients are reported to be still suffering from complications. Some of the elderly are reported to have liver complications, lung complications etc. It is high time that we give an eye to our health. In today's rat race we hardly pay attention to what we eat. In order to save time we opt from Zomato, Swiggy etc and we fill our stomach with spicy…unhygienic foods leading to various stomach ailments, gastritis etc adding to medical bills. They have entered our kitchen replacing our home cooked foods. It has paved the way for mushrooming of health organisations.
At this hour ,National Nutritional Month plays a vital role. It helps in bringing awareness about the nutritional diet in keeping one healthy in body as well as in mind. In our day to day life.
The ministry of Women and Child Development is observing the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 from September 1 to September 30, 2022 ie National Nutrition month@theme “Celebrate a world of Flavors”. September 1 to September 7 was celebrated in our hospital; ie Marwari Hospitals as “National Nutritional Week”.
Diet will be playing an important role in the long run. As per Thomas Edision, “The doctors of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition”.
Staff from various departments participated whole heartedly. The participants were divided into groups, they not only cut the salad items such as tomato, cucumber, water melon, carrot, fruits like apple, banana into different shapes making the competition not only lively but also tasty. For better understanding. names of the items were also displayed along with the items. Some of the items took the shape of tortoise, coconut tree etc... Judges were excited to taste the salads.
Judges appreciated the taste and also stated that with vegetables and fruits they never thought that such creativity can be done..
We should include fresh vegetables and fruits in our diet, this is one of the mantra to survive. If we consider Exercise as the King then Diet can be considered as the Queen..
