   continued... Bijit Das who was in ICU from last 5days was shifted to ward as he was stable. I met him during round, he looked very fresh. Oxygen was provided as support. On query he said that he was feeling good, was able to do normal day to day activities. He even had walk in the corridor in the morning. He said that he was very much thankful to his mother who managed  to got him treated well. I enquired what had happened to him. He said that he used to take illicit substances long ago. He was kept in rehab centre. In the centre therapy was given., they are engaged in some or other activities so that they are busy and have no thoughts for other activities.                                                                                             Addiction makes good people do terrible things.. It was on the 5 th  October 2022, two women came to my office. On query it was found that they were the attendants of a patient named Bijit Das who was admitted in ICU. The patient was kept on ventilator. One of the women stated that she is the mother in-law of the patient and the other one was the mother. I made them seated comfortably and then enquired about the health of the patient, the mother stated that the he was admitted in a very critical condition but now his condition has improved. It was Saturday, 1st October 2022 myself and my team member Niharika Singh went for hospital round as we do the other days.                     Housekeeping Week Celebrated at Marwari Hospitals - 26.09.2022 to 01.10.2022 Housekeeping in hospitals may be defined as ‘providing a clean, comfortable, safe and aesthetically appealing environment to the patients’. It is an operational department which is responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, aesthetic upkeep of patient care areas rooms and the surroundings. The housekeeping department not only turnarounds (prepares and clean patient care areas) on a timely manner, it maintains the cleanliness in the hospital so that patient care is not affected.
